Meet Becca AND Hooby GOob

Long before I started my practice, I discovered my passion for helping others while working as a Certified Nurse Assistant in a behavioral health hospital. I have now been working in mental health for over 11 years, and continue to love what I do. This experience has allowed me to bring a unique strength and approach to counseling, because much of what I know about helping is what I have learned from the people I had the honor of helping along the way. In 2024, I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University, graduating with distinction. Shortly after, I founded Path Yet Travelled Counseling with the vision of helping others learn to tell their stories in a new way, and discover themselves as the hero of their own journey.  I offer my clients a warm, nonjudgmental space where it is safe to bring in what is most vulnerable. I am also a fierce advocate for the people I serve, and I remain actively engaged with my community and the causes that matter most to me through ongoing volunteer and advocacy work.

Outside of work, I’m usually diving into creative projects and spoiling my pets. I received my BA in Performing Arts and have been performing as a circus artist and dancer since 2008. I try to approach most things in life with a sense of humor, and I’m as much of a clown offstage as I am onstage. Approximately 50% of my time each day is spent negotiating with my cat to behave, which I am successful in 0% of the time. I apologize in advance if he makes guest appearances in telehealth sessions, I strive to create a professional atmosphere and keep him out, but he simply cannot be stopped.
